Rating of 1-5 5 being best titanfall and xbox oneHow good is these? There really is no comparison between xbox one and xbox 360. Xbox one: dedicated servers = lag free gaming Audio commands. Connect can hear and respond to you. Such as turning xbox on or off, in game recording of clips, etc. Graphics are noticeably better on the same tv You can watch tv through the xbox one, you can go to the xbox home screen mid game and it doesn't end it stays in a corner box on the main screen so you can go right back to the game. Even in online gameplay. There is a lot to the xbox one more or less made for serious gamers. As for titanfall it's worth getting

I think the game is good, not a lot of content. I can't imagine it will hold me for over a month if I'm absolutely fair.

I think the game is good, not a lot of content. I can't imagine it will hold me for over a month if I'm absolutely fair. The replay value is a valid concern. At this point I am expecting similar longevity as CoD series, due to the similarities: both are FPS MP twitch shooter, both have similar number of maps (although the current consensus is Titanfall maps seem to have better quality), and both have Prestige like systems (in Titanfall it is called regeneration) to get people to play for XP. Titanfall has less game modes but game modes are not the main thing to keep people playing CoD. Titanfall also has less weapons, would that be a big deal? Brown, from your point of view what gives CoD better replay value? Or they are similar to you?

CoDs customization is what keeps people playing it. I want this camo, this emblem, that patch.
BF4 is a gear grind, gotta keep playing to have all the guns.
In a sad way, the problem with TF is that its so balanced. To keep it from being unbalanced they went without putting too many guns or perks in the game. On paper, cool, in practice I don't have a reason to use a different gun or loadout. My gun of choice is a pistol, I'm crushing everyone in gun fights with a pistol, that doesn't excite me.

Added sleezy and notardious to the list of clan members playing this game on XB1 (saw them last night).

After playing an extended session last night, my thoughts on this: At least for me this game will have enough replay value for 3-6 months (especially if I alternate between this and CoD Ghosts, enough until Bungie's Destiny is out on 09/09 ), because of the following reasons: 1) I am having a lot of fun playing this game even without any goals; 2) In terms of weapon variety, with pilot weapons + Titan weapons, the goals to unlock all sights / mods, and gun achievements, there are plenty to do for a while; 3) If I need something to grind for, Regeneration offers a non-trivial challenge. It is harder than CoD prestige: titanfallblog.com/2014/02/21/new-details-emerge-on-generations-and-requirements-to-regenerate-pilot/ . First a few regenerations are easy, but becomes a lot harder after generation 5. 4) Game modes: although it has fewer choices than CoD, all of them look appealing enough to me to play sooner or later. Less choices also mean less gamer fragmentation by play lists. BTW, I don't think that this game is going to be a "CoD" killer. What it will do however is to shake things up a little bit so the CoD developers can make braver moves on the innovation front.

Here are my opinions on the matter: 1. The 360 version isn't likely to be very good. Being pushed back, no dedi's and it is being ported / developed by a 3rd party. 2. The Titanfall Xbox edition is currently on sale at Walmart for $450 (need to do this online in order to get good price). 3. I am still weary of jumping on this console because of the headset issues, but I am seriously considering it now.

otisman666: first of all I'd like to say that as somebody who is playing Titanfall on XB1, of course I would be thrilled to see more and more clan bros to join us That said, a few considerations: 1) I have reasonable confidence on the X360 version of Titanfall. There is too much money riding on it so the developers and publishers (EA) just can't afford to mess it up. A lot of players are holding off next-gen console purchase either because they are waiting for the price to drop or because they are still trying to decide between XB1 vs. PS4. These players (the ones who own X360) will pick up X360 version if the game is good enough. I won't be surprised if the X360 version outsells XB1 version 2-to-1, 3-to-1, or even more. BTW, Today the week 1 US sales number of Titanfall came out: www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41714/USA/ . Week 1 sales on XB1 (Tuesday through Sunday): 580,521. I think that the number would have been a lot bigger had it been X360. The conspiracy theory is that the delay is another marketing trick Microsoft is pulling to ride Titanfall wave a bit longer to push XB1 sales. So far it has worked out greatly for them: USA Hardware by Platform (last week) Platform Weekly (change) Total XOne 104,872 (+118%) 2,488,640PS4 47,311 (+4%) 2,729,475 2) Are you sure X360 version does not have dedis? I thought Microsoft has dedicated servers for all platforms: XB1/X360/PC. 3) The Walmart deal is indeed a very good one to pass up. It is also well timed (if you buy now, you get it one week before X360 Titanfall is out). Coincidence? or aligned with the conspiracy mentioned above?

IMHO:
if you have already decided 100% to buy XOne, and are itching to play Titanfall earlier on a higher quality version: Walmart deal is great.
If you don't mind playing Titanfall on 30FPS / sub 720P (graphics should be the only main difference between XB1 and X360. XB1 Titanfall is currently at 60FPS/792P, with developers working on improving it to 60FPS/900P or even 60FPS/1080P), then pick up the X360 version of Titanfall and wait for XB1 price to drop further. In general MSFT is now the underdog in the next-gen console war, so further price drops are likely to happen in the following months.
On the release calendar, the following games are the big attractions for next-gen (these are also available on X360, but probably much more inferior to their XB1 counter part):
Watch Dogs (05/27) Destiny (09/09) Next CoD (November) Tom Clancy: The Division (end of year 2014 or early 2015) Next Halo (end of year 2014 or early 2015)
You can afford to sit on next-gen decision until the game that you want to play comes out.

I've already been using that beta for matchmaking. It seems to take an extra minute or so to get the game started and is attrition only but other than that it seems pretty fair. Every lobby it put me in I was going first pretty consistently.

That's good to know, I have not had a chance to try it yet, will do later today.
Right now it is beta, but if things go well they will make this happen for all game modes.
The extra search time should be OK since once a team is formed you stay on until you back out yourself.
