Yes, the Pimpernel is only in the Captain Scarlett DLC. And yes, it is the best sniper and one of the best guns in the game. We can see if I can trade one to you. That's OK. Once I unlock UVHM I probably will buy the DLC. Looks like Pimpernel is worth being farmed repeatedly, to get different versions of it. You're a beast Witty! I got some catching up to do. I'm at 25 right now, but I have a bunch of main quests to go--been doing a lot of side quests. I'll have a lot of spare time the next few weeks as well, hopefully we can get the 3hr time difference to work out Chewy: I noticed that you have reached level 30 and are about to get into the final 2 missions. I am at level 40 and can use a break in my TVHM grind because the mission's level is higher than mine and I am fighting enemies with skulls (3 levels above my level). So looks like it is a perfect time for us to party up: I can help you get through some tough boss fights and finish normal mode. BTW, Level 31 is an exciting level to get to: you'll finally have an opportunity to respec your skill tree and unlock the last skill of a particular branch of your choice. You'll have fun with that Can you play tonight? If yes, when? I'll try to sync up my time with you. Mal: can you play tonight? Witty, I'll be on Friday night, maybe Saturday. We can try to group up one of these nights. Hopefull Mal can join too

Unfortunately I cant play Friday and Saturday evening. I will most likely play on Sunday.
Since my level was 2 below recommended level for my next story mission and it was a bit too tough, I experimented with coop through match making. It was OK but not great experience, as everybody is doing their own thing, not much coordination. Definitely a quicker way to level up though.

Yea, playing with randoms can be challenging. Just make sure you host when playing with randoms. Apparently some people will kick you after defeating bosses in order to take all the loot for themselves

I know the loot problem, so I purposely picked the lobby that is a couple of levels below me, so I don't even need to worry about fighting the loot. At my current level, all loot items are temporary anyway, as Mal pointed out they become obsolete 5 levels later. I just use the matchmaking coop to level up quickly so I can get back to my story mission progress with the recommended level.
After struggling against enemies 2-3 levels above me playing solo, it is a welcome change of pace when I can blast my way through enemies that are 2-3 levels below me :-)
BTW, one great thing I like about Bungie's upcoming new game "Destiny" is its "private loot system". Everybody gets their own personalized loot so no need to fight anything. The general leveling up experience is also pretty painless, a character can be brought to max level in "a few hours" (after that there are still lots of reasons to play, loot, gear upgrade, etc). These two combined make co-op through matchmaking much more pleasant than Borderlands 2.
