Hey Hippie.
Just finished up my first week of Bikram Yoga. I went four of the seven days. Very good workout and it was good for me. I have needed a TON of core flexibility since tearing my labrum (and partial rc) in the spring of '12, and then full wrecking of it in the spring of '13. I am hoping this is a better launching pad than some of the stuff i did last summer and fall, which didn't get me any momentum or traction. But it's a good workout. 90 minutes. 105 to 107 degrees in the room. Constant movement. Obvious good core stretching, all in all good. The room temps reminded me of all my wrestling days.
This is week number two coming up for me.

To stay with the Yoga stuff here. Hippie, (and anyone else)
the guy who runs our studio, just finished 1st in the US this past weekend. He's the US National champion. That's pretty cool. My wife has been training at his place for a while now (since 2013), I just started around a month ago. It's not the Yoga Hippie does (DDP), but it's Bikram Yoga. It's a form of hot yoga, and it's a solid workout. Constant resistance/stretching/core body movements for 90 straight minutes, but done in a 106/107 degree room. Speaking for myself, as a lifelong wrestler who still does some on the side, this is good stuff. You feel like you are back in the wrestling room, but with a bit more heat. I've lost as much as six pounds of water weight in some of these sessions.
AROC.... awesome job. 3:11. Props.

Yoga in a room as hot as the desert. Sounds intense I will have to try it sometime if I come across a place that offers it. Thanks though stone, the alligator plank was tough. That was my 1st try at yoga, good core workout. I'm trying to incorporate yoga and more intense cardio into my workouts now that I've started a mass gainer protien.
