Here are the results of the Diamond Clan War #9, at the end of round 1.
Recap. Our competitive pool wasn't as quite stacked this time. It still wasn't a bad pool though. Best i could see, we had three clans who have done some decent work on the leaderboards, as seen below. The Pre War rankings are below
Name, Leaderboard Pts, Ranking (3-12), Overall Ranking (out of 30,500 clans)
HSV1............................589 pts, 24th, 76th EverydayKillas............570 pts, 33rd, 100th The R3gulat0rs..........541 pts, 57th, 150th HeavyH1tters.............? Team Underscores.....? GuiltyCrown................ ?
So what happened in round 1, with a less stacked comp pool? HSV1 has been through a lot of wars, a lot of battles, and let's just say this. After competing against some of the world's best clans so far (FuFA, LethalGaming, etc...), we've been around the block. Right now, we are steamrolling everyone. Here are the base scores from round 1, BEFORE the overnight/end of round bonuses were given out. For those new people, if you hold a node at the end of a round, you get bonus points (it's value) added to your score.
Pre-bonus score (end of round 1)
1. 205 - HSV1...........We capped Dom (44),TDMs (14),TDMb(30), Blitz(14), KC (30), TDMb (27), HCKC (30) TDMs (10), TDMs (6) 2. 041 - The R3gulat0rs....................HCSnR (15), HCKC (26) 3. 014 - HeavyH1tters...................can't remember what they capped? 4. 012 - Team Underscores..........TDMs 5. 000 - GuiltyCrown 6. 000 - EverydayKillas
......how round one ended. The eight nodes
HSV1 ........................Dom, Blitz, TDMs, TDMb, KC, TheR3gulat0rs.......HCSnR, HCKC * Drop zone was opened, no one could get it
1. 337 - HSV1. ...........................+ 132 bonus points: 44, 14, 14, 30, 28 2. 084 - The R3gulat0rs........ +43 bonus points, 15, 30 3. 014 - HeavyH1tters 4. 012 - Team Underscores 5. 000 - GuiltyCrown 6. 000 - EverydayKillas

What's left for round 2? Trying to steamroll the above and get lots of points. We are now playing of the world wide rankings. Try to get enough points, so that we finish in the top 1% of all clans competing (30,000 plus clans), PLUS finish off the OBJ bonus points. Here's the scoring criteria.
* 612 - 5% = 581. CW = +41 pts = 621. - 5% = 589 Leaderboard Point Total. Ranked 76th out of 32,000 clans.
DLP Scoring Criteria 1: FINISH..........................1st = 80pts, 2nd = 50pts, 3rd = 30pts Criteria 2: SIZE BONUS.............. 21+ = +10 pts, 13+ = +5 pts Criteria 3: OBJ BONUS..................see below Criteria 4: SCORING BONUS......Top 1% = +10, Top 5% = +5
Criteria 3: Objective points - Holding a Node at the start of a round - 1 (per Node) - First Node capture in the Clan War - 2 - Most Node captures - 3 - Holding 4 Nodes at the same time - 5 - Capturing every Node at least once - 5
We will get 80pts. No size bonus. We should be able to get top 1% of all clans scoring bonus, +10pts. And objective points? We will have five nodes to start round 2, 5 pts. We got the first node capture of the war, 2 pts. Most node captures, 3 pts. We got the four nodes at one time bonus, 5 pts. We just need to get the cap all nodes bonus. We will need to get HC SnR, and then get Drop Zone. I think we already got HC KC. That gives us another 5 pts. All in all, ........+ 20 objective points.
.......That makes our score be 80 pts, + 10 pts, + 20 pts, = 110 pts.

Contest is over.
Points scored in Round 2, Sunday night 7pmET to 11pmET. (including the end round hold bonuses). As can be seen, we did really well in round 2, easily winning again. Note that five of the six clans were playing last night (EveryDayKillas played, put points on the board, but couldn't get a node).
1. 247 - HSV1 2. 088 - Team Underscores 3. 080 - The R3gulat0rs 4. 044 - HeavyH1tters 5. 000 - GuiltyCrown 6. 000 - EverydayKillas
Here's the final Overall Score (adding Saturday's and Sunday's scores)
1. 584 - HSV1 2. 164 - The R3gulat0rs 3. 100 - Team Underscores 4. 058 - HeavyH1tters 5. 000 - GuiltyCrown 6. 000 - EverydayKillas

Quick Recap of this weekend's Clan War.
Overall, great clan war. We ran with a smaller CW teams and it worked great. We also ended up having only two higher ranked opponents to play, rather than four like last time. Neither of our two opponents were ranked higher than us either. Put those two things together, it made for an easier CW this time. We got rolling in the first round (Sat night) and never looked back.
Special thanks to those who helped out (you know who you are), nice job. The group i was with, we actually played very well. Myself, Brown, Aroc, Amazon, EliteWarrior and Jallito,,,,,nice job. We stayed together for both rounds and it showed. We were kicking ass. I think the only games we lost the entire CW were in HC SnR. Pretty much won every other game. If i had to guess, maybe went like 50 wins and 5 losses the entire war (we picked up two TDM losses real late in R2, when we were shorthanded)
The negatives? Nothing bad happened this Clan War. We did have the typical organizational problems that are unavoidable. Some other groups had some issues, mostly on Sat. Those who got stuck on that squad two on Sat, sorry about that. We had a bunch of people show up last second, and it got confusing trying to put together that squad two. But to that group, your efforts are appreciated. Xeno, Specialist, DeadlyDiahreaha, and a few others i can't remember. Thanks for trying. We'll keep working on that. We also had a few no shows, that sucks. But it wouldn't be a clan war without that happening. Shit happens.
What this does for us.
Overall, nice recovery. After that prior CW, where we got into a competitive pool playing three other really high ranked clans (one of which 'FuFA' is in the top ten in the world), we rebounded nicely. We needed that. Especially with only what is now three clan wars left. If you hadn't read those prior posts or read my XBoxLive emails, ....yes, only three clan wars left. Then that's it. This version is done forever. As i have stated before, you don't get an opportunity that often in life to compete in a world-wide competition that has over 100,000 competitors, let alone be ranked near the top 20. Yet somehow, someway, we are here. Right on the cusp of the top twenty now. This win should get us moving back towards there. New world rankings should be released this Wed or Thursday. We'll see how high this win takes us. Up into the top 60? Top 50? Maybe top 40? (we were 76th going into this war) Again, that's pretty amazing considering there were over 100,000 clans who started this process.
We've also rebounded very nicely since we had about ten people splinter off back in May. We have gotten a 1st, 1st, 3rd and 1st place finish since then. And that 3rd place finish, the clan played very well taking on one of the world's top ranked clans. We haven't missed a beat and have kept rolling. Beating MANY top 100 & top 150 clans along the way the past two months. Thanks.
Last thoughts here. The upcoming SuperBowl/Battle Royale in September
As I have stated many times, we are going to keep this going. Finish what we started. It's hard in life to find people who have the ability to finish what they start....and it's been a great ride so far, to do this experience with many of you. Props to all of you who are still here. Your ability to compete, keep your cool, right mindset under stress, has been incredible. It hasn't been easy, and hopefully those of you still around and reading this, can muster up whatever gaming you have left for CoD Ghosts and pitch in a few more times. Yes, I do realize many of you aren't playing CoD Ghosts as much anymore. I know i'm not. I've been playing TitanFall and some other games. We have teams playing there, as well as people (like Witty) trying some new games, like Bungie's beta release of Destiny. That's ok. Go have fun. Those of you doing that, hopefully you can stick it out another month or so, and make a few more appearances with CoD Ghosts. We've all come this far, let's do this.
As has been released, after that last Clan War, Beachhead/Activision is going to do a Super Bowl/BattleRoyale to end all of this. They are going to take the world's top ranked clans, and go out in one big bang. A Super Bowl of clan wars type of event. With this recent win, we are right there now, very close to qualifying. There is still work to do. If we can finish what we started, three more clan wars, six more rounds of CoD, we might be there. That's all we need. To all of you,.....try to find some time (to help) and get us there!!!

I'll be around for the September match as well. This is all very bittersweet for me as well as its kind of the last hurrah for my 360. The next CoD will invariably be released on the one and that's where I'll more than likely play it. Obviously not everyone can afford the new system or even have the interest in getting it. I'm sure I will cull my friends list at that point and lose some of the friends I've been holding out hope would show back at some point. Either way, had fun with all this despite the May thing. Good games.

Agree 100%. Great post. The word 'bittersweet' is a good word choice, something I was trying to allude too. This is it for me too. My 360 will be turned off after the Sept's Battle Royale, assuming we qualify (will only keep my 360 for my HBO Go account). Your right about the friend's list stuff. Times are changing. Kind of sad.
No one really know what next November holds for a lot of us. I know a core of us are already on the X1, but there are many others uncertain. Who knows. Maybe this website will ultimately find a good purpose and help with keep that core together? Regarding the clan, I am still not even sure about even that, as far as competing. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have gotten the comp stuff going. It's a lot of work. This year was pretty taxing and wore me out. Lots of questions there.
And like I said, I would hope a lot of us, we can go down this last month remembering all the good times, enjoying the friendships, teamwork and CoD good times. Get a few more good sessions playing together. Go out with one last glorious CoD triple cap or spawn trap.
This is it, the end is near. Make it count!
