The news?

We all know we took third last weekend, in what probably was our toughest ClanWar bracket to date. Obviously we all wanted to win, and it was especially frustrating as we were winning after round 1, until roster-counting issues kind of screwed us over in round 2. Oh well. Long story short here, it didn't really affect us that much. In some of the bucket/divisions, we didn't move at all. Stayed the same. In regards to the overall, including ALL clans, we dropped only a little. We dropped from 61st overall, to 76th overall. Not a big deal. Again, that's 76th out of 30,500 clans. Or if you want to say it another way, 76th out of probably 110,000 clans in the CoD universe (when you include all the bronze/plat clans). It is, what it is.

POWER RANKINGS. This week, I rank the top 17 clans Typical Disclaimer: We will not include clans below ~20 players, Clans who did not partake in previous war were removed. Clans not participating in consecutive wars will not be considered for Power Rankings

1. Wicked Elite (no change, ranked #1 in world, 928pts) - I could literally type everything I wrote last week about Wicked because they played essentially the same clan war. Same opponents, same story. If clan wars for Heavyweights are to continue, something needs to change to offer Wicked some competition, or who knows how long they'll stay interested? The only interesting fact of note is their lead has been cut to 30 points. GUESS WHAT? That whole write up for Wicked was the same as from 6/6. Want to know why? They've played the SAME GOD DAMN TEAM for 3 wars in a row. BORING.

2. Lethal Gaming (+1, ranked #3 in world, 894pts) - Lethal proves a point by topping previous top 15 clan, Homicidal Legend, in a somewhat controversial story as LG is again accused of Collusion with another clan. Days 1-3 saw them increase their lead each day therefore establishing they were the more dominant during this war. After a complete performance against top level competition, LG finally clears the TBS hurdle.

3. The Brightside (-1, ranked #2 in world 898pts) - The Brightside gets another pass in another boring war, but they stay active and gain 16 points on Wicked Elite as Wicked quits after 3 hours and takes home a win. TBS goes as hard as anyone would expect while second place drops 62 points. Why the drop in ranking then? Tough to give free passes with no competition, and LG really proved a point by sending a tough team packing. This is by no fault of TBS, but match ups are just pitiful in the 71-100 member bracket.

4. COD R3GUL8RZ (no change, ranked #4 in world, 870pts) - COD R3GUL8RZ gets minimal competition from two other clans, and plays hard for entire war. After disposing of Team Reflex Clan in a battle of 2 of the top 10 in the world (at the time of match up), R3GUL8RZ gets a break with an easy matchup. Time to give them a piece of another solid squad.

5. Lethal-Energy (no change, ranked #5 in world, 865pts)) - Lethal Energy puts on another clinic and disposes of JERX, the Platinum Clan war CP record holders. LE gains 4 points of R3GUL8RZ and moves up to #5 again on Leaderboards.

6. N1PL Fighters (+1, #6 in world, 861pts) - N1PL knocks off TheBritishMafia in a win that came down to the final 10 minutes. Hot off a recent loss to Tryz Gaming, TheBritishMafia was looking to get back into the win column, but loses out as N1PL shows its resiliency.

7. Team Berzerkers (+2, ranked #7 in world, 855pts) - Team Berzerkers was kept close by Reddit Evolution on day 1, but they quickly snapped the spirit of their opposition in the end winning by a ridiculous 700+ points.

8. RELAPSED (+3, #8 in world, 817pts) - Relapsed goes 3 straight wars of 1000+ CP and easily stomps out their competition. In the post-war ruckus, Relapsed goes on to trash talk their rival, Homicidal Legend. It's time to get Rx vs HL 3 in the works, /u/cloven.

9. -iown- (+3, #9 in world, 802pts) No need for iown to go as hard as last war as they destroy inferior competition

10. MERIKAH (+3, #10 in world, 800pts) - MERIKAH turned a 110 point day 2 lead into a 280 point blowout as they join the top 10 for the first time.

11. FUF (unranked, #15 in world, 768pts ) - FUF has made considerable climbs in the DD rankings over the last several wars joining the top 15 after a very tough war in knocking off a solid squad in HSV1 Inc.

12. Homicidal Legend (-2, #14 in world, 769pts ) - Homicidal suffers its first loss since the merging clans in a hotly contested battle in which they cried foul against Lethal Gaming. Days 2 and 3 were very competitive, but saw HL lose ground on each. Time to pit them against their rival, Relapsed, after continued twitter banter calling each other out.

13. Legion of Boomx (unranked, #16 in world, 761pts ) - Legion of Boom has spent the last 5 clan wars clawing their way back as they've maneuvered their way from #77 to #16. An unreal climb back to relevancy. Now if they were only active on twitter...

14. The Yellow 12 (unranked, tied for #20 in world, 741pts ) - Y12 knocked off previous top 20, Straight2theDOME, and surprisingly competitive Desert Mercs in a pretty competitive war. Y12 climbs from #35 in the world into the top 20 over the span of the last 2 wars.

15. Tryz Gaming (unranked, tied for #20 in world, 741pts ) - Tryz Gaming makes a significant climb into the top 20 after taking the same route as The Yellow 12 in climbing from #40 to #20 in the past two wars. Tryz Gaming tried extremely hard to break the record for DD points, but settled for a 1,000+ CP victory

16. GBR Elitez (unranked, #21 in world, 736pts ) - GBR returns to the power rankings after a 1 war absence as they beat on some solid competition

17. Axon Gaming (-9, #19 in world, 743pts ) - Axon found themselves light this past weekend, and they paid the price finishing 3rd in their war. Axon barely clings to rankings, but in joining forces former big name, Sin7, their future success in clan wars is unknown.

Leaderboard Trends

Biggest jumps of the week:

•In the top 25, Legion of Boomx jumps 7 placements to #16 in a steady climb over the last 5 wars all the way from #77. They're proving legit after some early losses.

•Small clan, Player vs Player, moves up 6 spots to #13 on the DD leaderboard. This is after PvP dropped from 20+ members to only 2... no idea what happened there.

•Other big jumps: Danish Kings narrowly miss the top 25 by jumping 10 spots to #26, San Diego Elites and Snipers_slayers jump into the top 30 at #28 and #30 by rising 12 spots and 10 spots respectively, and Reddit PSN Tryhard jumps another 15 spots to #41 after a ridiculous 51 spot increase in the previous war.

Biggest drops of the week:

•Former top 10, Axon Gaming, takes a 10 spot hit all the way to #19.

•Team Reflex Clan basically calls it quits on clan wars as they drop to #27 and another 13 spots after losing their second war in a row.

•Reapers Regiment takes a brutal loss dropping them 11 spots and tying them with Axon Gaming for 19th in the world.

•Former top 20, Basement Crew, drop 18 spots to #36 in the world.

•Straight2theDOME gets another brutal clan war matchup and takes a second consecutive loss after a huge upset of NVZN Greatness several weeks ago. They drop another 12 spots to #47.
